Clearsnap :: "New Baby" Layout

posted on: 5.17.2012

Clearsnap gave me the wonderful opportunity to be a guest designer over on there blog! I'm so excited!! I created this lovely little layout with various paper from Studio Calico, Echo Park, Crate Paper and even some October Afternoon which were all edged with the "Chestnut Roan" fluid chalk pad! All the ink used are from Clearsnap. I used a cats eye 6 pad set called "Coffee House" which has some of the prettiest sort of burlesque like colors {purples, creams, blues and brown}

I used the "putty" colored pad and stamp it directly from pad to paper to created the "eyeball" like teardrop shape. I then added some white faux stitching to make them pop! I splattered some "Silver Foil" smooch spritz on top for a splattered effect! Some more stamping was done with an astrid stamp from American Crafts with that same "putty" colored ink. The clouds were stamped with the watermark twinkle "stardust" ink pad which is basically a shimmery embossing ink. It created a tone on tone effect with the Kraft background. I finished off the layout by inking some Maya Road chipboard pieces with the "Coffee House" ink pad set and adding bits of washi tape. Here are a few close up images as well ::
