New Washi Tape Patterns

posted on: 8.27.2013

Washi tapes are one of my all time favorite crafting items. I use them for so much more than any other item in my craft room. Packaging, decorating and adding a pop of color to any project are a few of my main uses for this lovely tape. So many fun ideas can be found for Washi tape here. I also have a really fun Washi Tape journal DIY. The shop got updated the other day with over 70 new patterns (now totaling over 250 patterns). Take a peek in the shop as the prices were also decreased $0.70 per roll which is quite large

Dont forget to use coupon code 10PERCENTOFF25 for orders of $25, 15PERFECTOFF100 for orders over $100.

Teen Journaling Class with my FIDM Friends!

posted on: 8.20.2013

Hello Lovelies, I'm not sure if you knew but last Thursday I had a LWP class at the actual warehouse. I brought along 2 of my FIDM friends to create a fun journal. We used the new "All About Me" collection by Lizza Gibbons. This collection has many fun colors, trendy patterns and unique graphics. I personally love this collection and it is literally the perfect collection for teenage crafters. The video is just over an hour of fun crafting with my friends. I personally loved the addition of teens for this LWP episode. It really showed how not only I can craft but other teens can as well

From Start to Finish :: "& Thats A Wrap" Layout

posted on: 6.10.2013

Two videos in a row..... Can I get a woot woot! I had so much extra time to just craft today and so I made this lovely layout. As many of you know, I got my photos done recently with a local photographer (Wendy Carr). This was one of the million photos she took of me. I seriously love how the sunset hits the ocean with all these calming colors and then there is me (all bright and bold). I hope you enjoy the video I created above and leave me feedback on the way it was filmed. Do you like the angle/colors and so on?

From Start to Finish :: Prima Doll Flower Door Hanger

posted on: 6.09.2013

I finally decided to break out the Doll Stamps that have been collecting dust on my shelf. I have had these stamps for literally 2 months and have yet to use them. I was dedicated to make a project using them today and so I created a little decor piece. You can hang this on a door handle for a girls bedroom or even use it as a wall decor. I think it is pretty and can be customized to suit any color scheme.

I cannot believe that highschool is now over. I literally feel free. I am moving in just 25 days now and I cannot be any more excited about it. I think LA will give me so many more opportunities for content to share with al of you plus I get to start the college of my dreams (FIDM).

Q&A Video :: Other (Stamps, Etsy, Fashion...)

posted on: 6.04.2013

Here is the last and final video in this Q&A series. This one involves any questions that really didn't fit into the first two videos which can be found here and here. Thanks so much again for asking all these questions because I'm sure it answered quite a few of your curiosities. Let's get off topic shall we? Today was my last day of school. Well, yesterday was the actual last day but today was a senior breakfast thing for an hour so I considered it a school day. I can't believe that I am graduating on the 6th in just two days. I also want to thank you all for being so patient. I haven't been posting as often as I would like. I have just been so busy. I think most of us have :)

Q&A Video :: Personal

posted on: 5.30.2013

I have been so behind lately on posting. So sorry about that. Things are getting a tad hectic around here. I am actually graduating on the 6th of June and tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of actual school. I have a short day on Monday and a breakfast on Tuesday. I cannot believe that high school is now over and I am attending college in just a month (I talk about it in the video).

Anyway, I asked you all a while back to ask me any questions you may have had and so many of you sent in such awesome questions for me to answer. Check out the video above for the questions and answers on the topic "Personal". I will also be doing one more video labeled "Other" for misc. questions in the next few days. Hope you are all having a splendid week.

Q&A Video :: Scrapbooking

posted on: 5.26.2013

Finally I get this video up and then I decide not to post it on the blog for 2 days? Silly me! Anyway, I requested a lot of you to send me questions a while back and I got quite a few via YouTube and this blog. I broke the questions into three categories (Scrapbooking, Personal and Other). This is the first of the three videos. I actually think I will be filming the second one tonight and uploading tomorrow. If you have any additional questions please comment below and I will attempt to answer them all
PS. Is the comment section working? I have gotten a few emails saying it's not working.

Altered Distressed Journal & Creation Video

posted on: 5.18.2013

I finally got a light that allows me to film videos at night. It is literally so much more convenient for me since I typically have nothing to do in the wee hours of the night. I really love the way this journal turned out. It does look similar to this one but I love this color combo lately! All of the products used throughout this album can be found in my etsy shop. I also apologize about the music in the video. I decided to quickly add it because I did not have time to do a voiceover. Hopefully the music is not to bad.

"From Start to Finish" - Adorable Ozzy

posted on: 4.29.2013

Finally I have a new video for you. So sorry in my lack of video creation recently. My tripod actually broke and I was waiting for a new one. On top of that I also had Senior trip, Prom and class activities I had to attend. It has been a pretty hectic month for me but I loved every moment of it. I can't believe that I graduate high school in a month and then move to LA a month after that! I created this layout on video to show the creation of the page. I really love the soft colors on this page with pops of bright color here and there. Enjoy this page and don't forget to leave a comment with your thoughts.

Typographic Album Cover

posted on: 4.16.2013

Hello Lovelies, I have an Album cover I would like to share with you. I actually created this a while back and realized I never shared it with you! How dare I?! Anyway, This is a Maya Road album in which I created a typographic effect over the front cover using a quote from "J.r.r. Tolkien". I love this quote and I really wanted it to stand out and pop on an album. I couldn't figure it out until I realized how many Thickers I had hoarded. I literally have 57 packs of Thickers. I simply started playing with different fonts and sizes to create a cohesive block shape on the cover. I also used a few symbols to fill in gaps as shown.
What are your thoughts on this cover? I would love to know!

Tim Holtz Distress Paint Review

posted on: 3.16.2013

Hello Lovelies, Finally another video for you. Things have been quite hectic lately due to college being right around the corner. FIDM is extremely expensive and which is why I am applying for scholarships which takes a bit of time. I have a majority of them sent in so I will be back and better than ever shortly.

About a week ago I got in the whole line of Distress Paint by Tim Holtz in the shop. I can 100% say that they are incredible. If you enjoy mixed media, painting or generally color, these are for you! They are sort of watered down paint and flow incredibly  What I really love is how opaque they are. Perfect for vivid paint splatters on projects. All 24 colors in this are to die for. If you would like to purchase these paint head over to my website or Etsy shop (Take 10% off your order with coupon code SCRAPPYHAPPINESS or purchase $75 and get free shipping in the United States) ::

Distressed Altered Journal Video + Giveaway!

posted on: 3.02.2013

Hello Lovelies, On Thursday I had a live Prima class and created the altered journal cover I showed a while back on my blog. This was a highly requested video and since I used mostly Prima product I felt it was perfect for one of my classes. The class went amazing and I think it was one of my best classes. So many fun techniques shown throughout this class including masking, painting, highlighting and defining embellishments and much more. Thanks so very much for the people who came, supported & asked questions during the class. If you would like future updates for my classes please visit and like my facebook page.
Giveaway Time!!! I am giving away one of the albums I created during the class. The photo above was the sample album I created which I have already started working in. The winner will receive the one created in the video above which I love just as much as this one. This journal has thick kraft pages on the inside for art journaling or scrapbooking. To enter this giveaway simply leave a comment with what classes you would like to see from me in the future!

Dear Lizzy Tag & Freckled Fawn Giveaway!

posted on: 2.25.2013

Hello! Finally another video for you. I am still not quite back to my normal self. I have a bad case of the sniffles which is why I added music to the video instead of my voice over which I would normally do. I decided to create a quick tag as my camera batter was dying and the sun was going down so I needed something quick. I love the way this tag turned out. I think I am going to create a few more of them just to display in a small bowl or something of that nature. Scroll down for a lovely giveaway!
Freckled Fawn was amazing to give one lucky ready a $40 gift card to the Freckled Fawn Shop! You will also have the opportunity for free shipping using the promo code "SCRAPPYHAPPINESS" at checkout. This sadly only applies to Domestic customers due to the increase in international shipping.
To enter this giveaway simply leave a comment below! The giveaway will end on Friday March 1st.

"Tim Holtz" Layout

posted on: 2.21.2013

Tim Holtz is such an awesome person and I was lucky to have chatted with him again at this past CHA. This photo was actually taken on my phone directly after I stepped foot in CHA. He was the first person I saw, I ran over and took a photo. I don't think the lighting was very good or the fact that my phone is demonic and does not like me. I do somewhat look like a demon in this photo so that may have been the case. Anyway, I decided to scrap this photo because it was an awesome memory. I realized after creating this layout that I used absolutely no Tim Holtz product on this page. CORRECTION :: I actually used some color stain for my splatters. That counts, doesn't it?

I also created a from start to finish of this layout but..... My camera died 2/3 of the way through and it didn't save the first chunk of the video. I was not very happy but at least I learned something about my camera.

A Gift from Ingvild Bolme

posted on: 2.18.2013

Hello! Today I have a lovely gift I received from my amazing friend Ingvild! If you are unsure of who she is let me refresh your memory. Ingvild is the creator of the Comfort Craft Tools for Prima. She designed the distressing tool, craft knife, craft mats and chalk edgers. She also designed all the resin and metal treasures that prima has released. Her work is seriously incredible! A while back in 2011 I attended CHA in Chicago. Ingvild was there and it was so amazing being able to meet here and talk with her. I actually helped out quite a bit with her make and takes (cleanup, kits and so on). I was thrilled being able to do this though because I was helping somebody I admired so much! I still admire her just as much. Her work is incredible and I am so happy to have a piece of it. She sent me an altered canvas as a thank you. Check out the video below!

Thanks so much Ingvild! I love it so much :) xoxo Drew

Daybook Series // The Products

posted on: 2.11.2013

Daybooks are seriously one of my favorite items to play with. Essentially they are premade albums you can add you photos, journaling and some embellishment to create a statement piece that showcases all you memories for that particular month, event or whatever it is you would like to document. I myself have only created two albums but I can surely say that these albums are super fun and addicting.   So I decided to make a series on the creation of one of these Daybooks. More videos will be created over the next couple days encasing all the techniques, layouts and "how to's" I have learned so far. Today's video simply showcases all the products, tools and supplies I will be using over the course of this series to complete my book. I would love for you to follow along and post links to your project in the comments section below.
